We went to The Grand Canyon last week.   Not only is it beautiful but one of my Gardens of Eden.

Joan and I went to Carlsbad yesterday to some antique shops.  Love taking pictures of the things displayed.  This shop had nice displays tastefully done.

While waiting for the Sears Optometrist to open I found some interesting photo sites at a shopping Center

My neighbor Dan Lara carves out of wood some of the most amazing Trout carvings I have ever seen.  I had the privilege to photograph some of his carvings.

I found a new background fabric at the Vista Farmers Market.   That Maui onion is gonna get eaten.
The lighting is natural thru the patio window at 10:00 am

We spent a  morning shopping at the Forum in Encinitas, then over to the Carlsbad Factory Outlet Stores to find some shoes for Joan, then to Rubios for a burrito and fish tacos. 

Hello,  I am putting a link to a Hazel Dickens song "Hills of Home"  It is a sad and lonesome song of memories of a place called home.  She is truly a natural voice of melancholy.  I share this so maybe you will like her work  if you are a Blue Grass lover and country music fan.  She's the best.

 It reminds me of the time  place and people Vicki Lane writes about in her Appalachian mystery novels,  the changes that are taking place in those sacred hills I  grew up in and bring back so many memories.   Pick up one of her novels and you will be engrossed immediately

I just got thru looking at some View Bug photo contest winners.  I was awed and inspired.  I use to get discouraged, but no more.  I am now inspired.  I know I have one or two in me I just have to keep searching.  This is not one of them
